Love vs. Hatred

Check out this quirky saying from the book of Proverbs:

"Better is a dinner of herbs where love is than a fattened ox and hatred with it." Proverbs 15:17

I have never served herbs for dinner...

Or ox, for that matter.


And...I hope I never will.

I guess this saying is useless unless I can translate it into something I can relate to.

Let's see...how about...

"Better is mom in her pajamas at noon where love is than mom in a cute outfit and makeup and hatred with it."
